No new music releases, no group promotions, and no dazzling international appearances—yet BTS continues to dominate the K-pop world. Despite all members currently serving in the military, the group has held onto the No. 1 spot on the Korea Brand Reputation Index for K-pop boy groups for three consecutive months, as of May 2025.
According to data collected between April 10 and May 10, BTS amassed a staggering 7,811,108 brand points, far surpassing their competitors. The rankings are determined by analyzing fan engagement, media exposure, community interaction, and public response—all areas in which BTS still maintains a commanding presence.
While most idols fade from the spotlight during mandatory military service, BTS is defying the norm. They are not only staying relevant—they're leading the conversation. Their global fanbase and years of cultural impact have placed them in a league of their own, allowing them to remain at the forefront of K-pop even in physical absence.
Seventeen secured second place with 5,729,258 points, followed by Big Bang in third with 3,381,072 points.
