Though relatively new to the silver screen, actress Mandira Chakraborty made a strong impression with her debut film. Her journey in the media began with the reality show Sera Nachiye, but she soon expanded her talents into acting, appearing in television dramas before transitioning fully into films.
Mandira made her big-screen debut in the government-funded film Kajal Rekha, directed by Gias Uddin Selim, where she played the title role. Her performance received praise and affection from audiences, exceeding her own expectations.
Now, she is set to appear in her next major project, Neel Chakra, slated for release this coming Eid. Directed by Mithu Khan, the film features Mandira opposite popular actor Arifin Shuvoo. According to Mandira, preparations for the release are already in full swing, and her expectations from this film are “much higher” than they were for her debut.
Speaking about the film, Mandira said, “I received a lot of love from the audience after Kajal Rekha, even more than I had imagined. I was completely new then and simply trying my best to act. For Neel Chakra, I’ve approached my role with a deeper understanding and more confidence. I’ve tried to present the character in a way that feels more authentic.”
She added, “The story of Neel Chakra is very relevant and incredibly engaging. I believe audiences will get to see a new side of me in this film.”
With growing experience and a thoughtful approach to her roles, Mandira hopes Neel Chakra will take her career to the next level and solidify her position in the Bangladeshi film industry.
