In just one day, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has set new gold prices in the country’s market. This information was announced through a press release on Saturday (May 17).
According to the announcement, the price of 22-carat gold has been increased by 1,364 taka per bhori, bringing the new price to 167,098 taka per bhori.
Additionally, the price of 21-carat gold is set at 159,505 taka per bhori, 18-carat gold at 136,714 taka per bhori, and traditional gold at 112,978 taka per bhori.
BAJUS stated that the prices were adjusted in consideration of the international and local market conditions, and the new prices will be effective from Sunday (May 18).
Previously, on May 15, BAJUS had revised gold prices by reducing them by 3,452 taka per bhori, bringing the price of 22-carat gold to 165,734 taka per bhori.
