U.S. intelligence sources have revealed new information indicating that Israel may be preparing to launch a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities. According to a report by Reuters on Wednesday (May 21), several American officials believe that Israel is taking concrete steps toward a possible attack, though it remains unclear whether a final decision has been made.

Citing sources familiar with the matter, CNN reported that the likelihood of an Israeli strike has increased significantly in recent months. The intelligence is based on classified communications among senior Israeli officials, secret internal discussions, and observed military activities.

Officials noted that if the U.S. reaches a nuclear agreement with Iran that does not include the full removal of enriched uranium, the chances of an Israeli strike could rise even further.

While the accuracy of the intelligence has not been independently verified, neither the U.S. National Security Council, the Israeli Embassy in Washington, nor the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office has commented on the matter.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has dismissed the U.S. demand to halt uranium enrichment as “exaggerated and unacceptable.” He also expressed doubts about the success of any new nuclear negotiations.
