In light of the current state of the capital market and growing concerns among investors, the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has scheduled a discussion meeting with representatives of investor associations. The meeting will take place on Thursday, May 29, at 11:00 AM at the BSEC headquarters in Agargaon, Dhaka.

The session will be presided over by Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury, Special Assistant to Professor Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser. BSEC Chairman Khondoker Rashed Maksud is also expected to be present at the event.

According to a press release issued by BSEC on Wednesday (May 21), the commission is committed to the sustainable development and reform of the country’s capital market. It believes that meaningful engagement with all stakeholders, particularly general investors, is essential for creating a transparent and thriving market.

The press release further stated that presidents and general secretaries of investor associations have been invited to attend the meeting. Interested organizations are requested to confirm their participation by sending a formal letter on official letterhead, including the names, designations, and contact numbers of their representatives, to BSEC’s official email address (info@sec.gov.bd).

BSEC hopes this exchange will help address investor concerns and contribute to effective reform initiatives that enhance the strength and stability of the capital market.
