Popular actress Nusrat Faria was released from the Kashimpur Women's Central Jail in Gazipur on Tuesday, May 20, around 3:30 PM. Upon her release, she extended heartfelt thanks to everyone. Shortly after, Faria shared a press statement revealing the current state of her health.
Addressing her well-wishers, Faria wrote, "I know many of you have been trying to reach out, to check on me or request interviews. Your concern and love truly touch me. But it is with deep regret that I must inform you—I am currently suffering from a serious illness and am under close supervision by medical specialists. As part of my treatment, I have been advised to cut off all external communication for the time being, including strict restrictions on phone usage."
She also expressed sorrow over not being able to speak directly to the media: "I sincerely apologize for not being able to communicate with anyone at the moment. I hope you all understand. I believe I will overcome this difficult phase and return to you healthy and strong very soon."
Reflecting on recent days, she added, "The last few days have been some of the most painful and emotionally overwhelming in my life. I was broken both mentally and physically. But your love, support, and presence have given me the strength to keep going. I am deeply grateful to the general public for standing by me."
In her closing words, Faria gave special thanks to journalists and the media: "I am especially thankful to the journalists and media friends whose compassion and positive role have been incredibly inspiring and necessary during this time. Without your support, I may not have found the courage within me so quickly. I will always remember this love and solidarity. With heartfelt gratitude and love to you all—see you again very soon."
Earlier, on Sunday, May 18, Faria was detained at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport while attempting to travel to Thailand. She was handed over to Vatara Police and later shown arrested in a case involving an attempted murder charge connected to a student movement.
