A dramatic finale at Gaddafi Stadium, a towering 202-run chase, and a heart-pounding last over—Lahore Qalandars once again etched their name in golden letters, claiming their third Pakistan Super League title.

Sri Lankan star Kusal Perera and Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza led the charge with a match-winning partnership, turning the tide in Lahore’s favor when the pressure was at its peak. With 13 runs needed in the final over, Raza delivered with a four and a six to seal the victory with a ball to spare.

Bangladesh’s young leg-spinner Rishad Hossain made a vital impact by removing Fernando at a crucial moment, helping dismantle Quetta’s middle order. While experienced all-rounders Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz didn’t feature in the playing XI, their presence brought valuable balance and experience to the squad.

Earlier, Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Naim set the tone with a 39-run opening stand. Abdullah Shafique added momentum with a quick 41, while Naim smashed 47 off just 27 balls. But the true heroics came from Perera, who blasted a fifty off only 28 balls and partnered with Raza to script a stunning comeback.

Quetta had earlier posted 201, powered by Hasan Nawaz’s gritty 76 and Faheem Ashraf’s explosive 28 off just 8 balls. However, Lahore’s bowling unit—led by Shaheen Afridi, Rishad Hossain, and Sikandar Raza—struck at key moments to keep them in check.

The final also featured a special ceremony dedicated to the Pakistan Navy, with dignitaries and diplomats in attendance.

Lahore’s PSL campaign felt like a cinematic journey—rocky beginnings, steady rebuilding, and a royal finish. And as the confetti fell, it wasn’t just Lahore celebrating. With Rishad, Shakib, and Miraz in the squad, Bangladesh too shared in the glory.
