Ashiq, a young man from a modest background, moves to the city to fulfill his father’s dream and chase his own—to become a renowned singer. He joins a college where he meets Jess, a wealthy and influential girl. But this isn’t a typical love story about romance and elopement. Instead, it’s a tale filled with emotional twists—combining passion, struggle, joy, and sorrow.
Farhan Ahmed Jovan plays the role of Ashiq, while Naznin Neha stars as Jess. The Eid special drama Ashiqi is directed by Imroze Shawon, written by Parvez Imam, and shot by cinematographer Khayer Khondokar.
According to the director, Ashiqi reflects multiple layers of storytelling—from the struggles of an aspiring artist to an emotional narrative of love that transcends social barriers.
Producer S.K. Sahed Ali Pappu shared that Ashiqi is part of CMV’s special Eid lineup. The drama will premiere on CMV’s YouTube channel, along with a dozen other dramas and telefilms, releasing one after another starting from Eid day.
