Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued a strong warning to Pakistan, emphasizing that peace must be maintained or else the consequences will be severe. Speaking at a rally in Bhuj, Gujarat, Modi said, “Live in peace and earn your bread, or else my bullets are ready.”

He further urged the people and youth of Pakistan to take a stand against terrorism, questioning what Pakistan has gained through terrorism. Highlighting India’s economic progress, Modi stated, “India is now the world’s fourth-largest economy—where does Pakistan stand?”

India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar echoed Modi’s tough stance, describing terrorism in Pakistan as an openly operated business, funded and supported by the state and its military. He noted that terrorist groups openly operate from cities and villages across Pakistan, which is no secret.

Jaishankar also pointed out that Pakistan’s name appears frequently on the United Nations Security Council’s terrorist lists and that these locations are the primary targets for India.

Earlier, Modi had declared at another rally that “my veins do not carry blood, but sindoor (vermilion),” and recalled how India retaliated within just 22 minutes after a terrorist attack in Pehalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.
