Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Humaid, Imam of Masjid al-Haram, offered emotional prayers for the Palestinians during the sacred Hajj sermon. He also emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity among the Muslim Ummah.
According to a report by Inside the Haramain, Sheikh Humaid prayed, “O Allah, guide the Muslims of the East and the West, increase love among them, and strengthen their bonds. Protect our brothers and sisters in Palestine, provide food for the hungry, and shelter for the homeless.”
He further prayed, “O Allah, safeguard the Palestinians from their enemies and grant them security.”
In his sermon, he urged Muslims to fear Allah and adopt Taqwa (God-consciousness), saying, “Taqwa is the hallmark of a true believer. Satan is the open enemy of Muslims. Therefore, it is essential to maintain unity and solidarity among Muslims.”
Sheikh Saleh stated, “Allah has chosen Islam as the best religion for humanity. If you forgive your enemies, Allah will make you His close friends.”
He explained the three levels of Islam, highlighting that Ihsan (excellence) is the highest level. He added that good conduct towards parents, humility, and fulfilling promises are integral parts of Islam, and modesty is a branch of faith.
Dr. Humaid encouraged pilgrims to engage in abundant remembrance of Allah, prayers, and supplications for the well-being of this world and the hereafter during Hajj. He concluded by saying, “Help one another in good deeds and abstain from evil.”
