The U.S. Embassy in Dhaka has issued a warning stating that individuals who overstay their permitted duration in the United States may face deportation and could be permanently barred from entering the country in the future.

This announcement was made on Thursday (June 5) through a post on the embassy’s official Facebook page.

According to the post, anyone who remains in the U.S. beyond the authorized period of their visa may be subject to removal from the country. Additionally, they could face a permanent ban on future travel to the United States.

The warning comes amid increasingly strict immigration policies under the administration of President Donald Trump, who resumed office for a second term. In recent months, numerous undocumented immigrants from countries including India have already been deported.

Furthermore, on Wednesday (May 4), President Trump signed an executive order citing national security concerns, imposing a full travel ban on citizens of 12 countries and partial restrictions on citizens of 7 others. These measures will go into effect starting June 9.

Earlier, on May 23, the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka also announced that all applicants for U.S. travel visas would now be subject to more rigorous background checks. Consular officers have been given the authority to reject applications immediately if any suspicions arise during the screening process.
