BNP’s International Affairs Secretary, Barrister Nasir Uddin Ahmed Asim, took part in a waste-cleaning initiative to raise public awareness, as sacrificial waste in parts of the capital remained uncleared after Eid-ul-Azha.
On Sunday (June 8) afternoon, Barrister Asim was seen personally removing piles of waste from Road No. 1 in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi area, using a shovel to load the waste onto a pickup van.
Speaking to the media, he said, “As citizens, it is our shared responsibility to remove sacrificial waste. If each of us takes initiative in our own areas, there won’t be any visible waste left in our city.”
He added, “We all hope for a clean and livable city. I urge not only citizens but also our party members and activists to take part in such efforts.”
