Google has announced a one-year free ‘Google One AI Premium’ subscription for college students. Any student over 18 with a valid ‘.edu’ email address can register by June 30, 2025, to avail this offer.
Through the AI Premium service, students will have access to powerful tools like ‘Gemini Advanced’ and ‘Gemini Live.’ Additionally, they can use AI assistants in Google Workspace to create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations more efficiently. The offer also includes tools like the ‘NotebookLM’ research tool, the experimental ‘Whisk’ for image and video editing, and 2TB of free Google Drive storage.
Experts believe this initiative will enhance the technical skills of young people and increase competition in the job market. Students’ identities will be re-verified in 2026.
