A fire broke out at a jhut (garment scrap) warehouse in the capital’s Mirpur area on Friday morning (April 25). The incident occurred around 7:00 AM at Block C in Mirpur-11.
According to the Fire Service and Civil Defence, three firefighting units were dispatched immediately after receiving the alert. The fire was brought under control by approximately 8:00 AM, though efforts to fully extinguish it were still ongoing at the time of reporting around 8:30 AM.
No casualties or injuries have been reported so far. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this stage.
Md. Shahjahan Hossain, an official from the Fire Service, stated that an investigation is underway to determine the origin of the blaze and assess the extent of the damage.
