Currently, a mild heatwave is sweeping across 24 districts in the country. However, according to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, the intensity of the heat will decrease starting from Sunday.
The latest forecast, released on Thursday (April 24), provides this information.
It indicates that a mild to moderate heatwave is affecting the Rajshahi and Khulna divisions (8 districts in Rajshahi and 10 districts in Khulna), as well as the districts of Manikganj, Tangail, Faridpur, Gopalganj, Dinajpur, and Nilphamari.
Meteorologist Omar Farooq stated, “The weather will remain this way until April 26-27, but once the rainfall starts, the temperature will drop.”
The forecast from 6 PM Thursday for the next 24 hours predicts that there may be temporary thunderstorms with gusty winds in a few places of the Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions. In other areas of the country, the weather is expected to be mostly dry with partial cloudiness.
Furthermore, a mild to moderate heatwave is likely to persist in the Rajshahi and Khulna divisions, as well as in the districts of Manikganj, Tangail, Faridpur, Gopalganj, Dinajpur, and Nilphamari. The day and night temperatures across the country may remain unchanged.

In other regions, the weather is expected to remain dry with partial cloudiness. The temperature across the country is likely to stay the same.
The forecast from 6 PM Saturday for the next 24 hours indicates that temporary thunderstorms with gusty winds may occur in areas such as Jessore, Kushtia, Comilla, and Noakhali, as well as in a few places in the Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Sylhet divisions. Other parts of the country will experience dry weather with partial cloudiness. The temperature may slightly decrease across the country.
The forecast from 6 PM Sunday for the next 24 hours predicts temporary thunderstorms with gusty winds in a few places of the Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, and Sylhet divisions, as well as in a few areas of the Rangpur and Chittagong divisions.
