Elon Musk’s AI company xAI has launched the first version of Grok Studio, adding powerful new features to the Grok chatbot — including direct access to Google Drive files and code execution capabilities.
With this update, users can now link their Google Drive accounts to Grok and seamlessly use stored documents, images, and code within the chatbot. This allows them to generate analytical reports, edit content, and even build browser-based games directly with Grok’s assistance.
According to xAI, Grok Studio opens in a separate window with a split-screen interface, allowing users to collaborate with the chatbot on the same content in real time. This marks a significant shift in Grok’s functionality — evolving from just a Q&A assistant to a full-fledged digital co-worker.
Users can now upload code from their Drive, ask Grok to analyze or modify it, and instantly see results. Similarly, they can draft content or reports based on their stored files using Grok’s AI capabilities.
Grok is already known for its ability to answer questions using real-time data from the internet. With the integration of Google Drive and code editing features, it is now positioned to be an even more versatile productivity tool.
