A colorful workers’ meeting of Ward No. 25 under Tejgaon Thana, Dhaka Metropolitan North Chhatra Dal, was held today. Speakers highlighted the life, ideals, and immense contributions of martyred President Ziaur Rahman to Bangladesh.
They said, “Every Chhatra Dal activist must learn about the life and politics of Shaheed Zia, as he was not only the proclaimer of Bangladesh’s independence but also the pioneer of a new political trend in the country.”
Addressing the gathering, Dhaka Metropolitan North Chhatra Dal General Secretary Mahfuz-ur-Rahman Lipkon stated, “Just as the waters of the Nile are not truly blue, Jamaat-e-Islami’s version of Islam is not the real Islam. A certain group is spreading propaganda in the name of Islam, but the devout people of this country will never accept it.”
The meeting was graced by Mohammad Salahuddin Ahmed, President of Dhaka Metropolitan North Chhatra Dal, as the chief guest. Mahfuz-ur-Rahman Lipkon delivered the keynote speech as the chief speaker. Special guest Abul Monsur Khan Dipok, former President of the then-united Dhaka Metropolitan North Chhatra Dal, was also present. The event was presided over by Mohammad Akhtar Hossain Farazi, President of Tejgaon Thana Chhatra Dal, and conducted by General Secretary Mahbubul Islam Rajon.
Speakers further emphasized that the Zia family has always stood by the people in times of national need. They affirmed, “BNP and Chhatra Dal are always prepared to safeguard the sovereignty of the country. The political philosophy of Shaheed Zia and Begum Khaleda Zia can truly guide the nation toward progress.”
Leaders and activists from various levels of Ward No. 25 and Tejgaon Thana Chhatra Dal were present at the program.
