Dhaka, October 5 — Osman Hadi, spokesperson for Inquilab Manch, has stated that if the ongoing discussions between the National Unity Commission and political parties fail to produce results by October 15, the people must take to the streets to demand the implementation of the ‘July Charter.’

In a post on his verified Facebook page Saturday night, Hadi expressed concern that the current government and ruling groups are trying to delay the implementation process of the July Charter, which poses a threat to the country’s democracy.

He further explained that after the Supreme Court’s final ruling on the caretaker government case, there will be demands to form a caretaker government with limited powers solely for conducting elections. Such a government will not be authorized to perform any other functions, which could hinder the future government’s ability to implement the July Charter.

Hadi warned that, similar to the conspiracies of 1971, vigilance is needed to ensure no such plots are underway. He called on all political parties and citizens to unite in protecting and enforcing the July Charter.

The National Unity Commission will continue discussions with political parties on the July Charter implementation until October 15. However, Hadi emphasized that if no agreement is reached, the people will move forward independently to ensure the demands are met.
