Ahead of the upcoming national election, Rashed Pradhan, Vice President and party spokesperson of the National Democratic Party (JAGPA), called on party leaders and activists to effectively communicate JAGPA’s message to the public.

He emphasized that the forthcoming national election must be held on a level playing field based on the July Agreement (July Sanad). He stressed the importance of securing the legal foundation of the July Sanad before the election, ensuring justice for Sheikh Hasina and her associates, and banning the activities of the National Party and the 14-party alliance.

Speaking on Saturday (October 4) after distributing leaflets with seven demands across 12 organizational districts throughout the day and connecting virtually with district leaders in the afternoon, Rashed Pradhan highlighted that India cannot accept Sheikh Hasina’s fall. Since August 5, India has been involved in various anti-Bangladesh conspiracies and has fabricated false stories about the persecution of Hindu communities.

Addressing India directly, Rashed Pradhan said that India should learn from Bangladesh’s peaceful coexistence of people from all religions—including Hindus and Muslims—and from the celebration of religious festivals like Durga Puja.

Following the leaflet distribution, the virtual meeting included the participation of several senior JAGPA members: Presidium members and freedom fighters Syed Md. Sofikul Islam from Narsingdi, A M M Anach from Chattogram, Nizamuddin Amit from Jessore, Md. Shamim Akhtar Pilot from Bogura; Vice Presidents Mahabub Alam Noni from Dinajpur and Md. Zakil Alam Saki from Nilphamari; Organizational Secretary Md. Zahidul Islam from Gaibandha; Youth JAGPA President Nazrul Islam Bablu from Dhaka; JAGPA Student League President Abdur Rahman Faruki from Satkhira; District Organizational Secretary Kamal Hossain Patwari from Panchagarh; District Coordinator Ali Morshed from Lakshmipur; and District Coordinator S K Arian Sharif from Narayanganj.
