Former State Minister of Home Affairs and BNP leader Lutfuzzaman Babar stated that they will practice politics grounded in honesty, justice, and principles. He emphasized the importance of personally understanding and then educating others about President Ziaur Rahman’s 19-point and 31-point programs. He also announced plans to soon publish a book on Bangladeshi nationalism, which he will share with everyone.
Speaking virtually as the chief guest at the introduction meeting of the Upazila branch of the Jubo Dal at the Mohanganj Upazila Auditorium Multipurpose Hall on Saturday (October 11), Babar highlighted the sacrifices made by party leader Begum Khaleda Zia and her family.
Despite enduring severe oppression, imprisonment, and torture, Begum Khaleda Zia never compromised with any evil forces, he said. Babar also shared his personal experience, mentioning he spent 17 years in prison and suffered torture but survived with the help of Allah.
He urged everyone to remain vigilant against land grabbing and extortion. Babar called on all members to unite under the directives of BNP’s acting chairman, Tarique Rahman.
The event was attended by Mohanganj Upazila BNP President Selim Karnain, General Secretary Golam Ershadur Rahman, Municipal BNP President Jahangir Alam VP, General Secretary Golam Rabbani Putul, Upazila Jubo Dal Convenor Jahangir Alam Talukdar, Member Secretary Tofazzal Hossain Jibon Talukdar, and Municipal Jubo Dal Convenor Zahiruzzaman Roni.
