My Bangladesh Party (AB Party) is set to announce its preliminary nominations for 100 seats in the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election.
This information was shared in a press release on Sunday (October 12).
The release states that AB Party will reveal the initial list of nominated candidates for 100 constituencies through a press conference scheduled for 11 AM on October 16 (Thursday). On the same day, a meeting will be held at the FairEast Tower auditorium on Topkhana Road with the nominated candidates.
According to the release, a candidate selection committee led by two vice-chairmen and one joint general secretary of the party was formed ahead of the election. After completing their thorough process, they submitted a preliminary report. Following the party’s recent executive council meeting, the report was reviewed, and the preliminary nominations for 100 seats were finalized in the first phase.
About a month ago, a consultation meeting was held with interested candidates, where a policy decision was made to field candidates in as many seats as possible. This preliminary list is a continuation of that decision. After completing the second phase of verification and selection, the party expects to announce additional candidates in the first week of November.
AB Party Chairman Mojibur Rahman Manju and General Secretary Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad have urged everyone involved to fully cooperate for the party’s national election preparations, finalizing the candidate list, and ensuring the success of the October 16 meeting.
