The National Citizens’ Party (NCP) has officially launched a new affiliate organization named ‘National Workers’ Force.’

The inauguration ceremony took place on Friday morning (October 17) at Banglamotor, Dhaka, with NCP Convenor Nahid Islam and party leaders and activists in attendance.

At the event, Nahid Islam remarked that merely signing the July Charter does not constitute true national unity, warning that the nation is being deceived in the name of national unity. He emphasized, “National unity is established through the collective struggle of all sections of society.”

He added, “Some people understand national unity only as unity among political parties. But political unity means unity among people from all professions and classes. Even today, some political parties plan to sign the July Charter, but that is not genuine national unity.”

Nahid Islam also accused authorities of neglecting the recommendations of the Labor Reform Commission. During the program, he announced the leadership team of the National Workers’ Force. The organization aims to address the long-standing deprivation of workers, ensuring their rightful rights and political participation.

The leadership roles were declared as follows: Arman Hossain will serve as Chief Organizer, Riaz Morshed as General Secretary, and Mazharul Islam Fakir as Convenor of the National Workers’ Force.
