In the Pakistan Super League (PSL) qualifier, Bangladesh’s rising leg-spinner Rishad Hossain played a crucial role in guiding Lahore Qalandars to the final. His exceptional bowling performance not only helped secure the win but also earned him a special reward—an iPhone.
At the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore posted a strong total of 202 runs for 8 wickets. In response, Islamabad United suffered an early setback, with Rishad’s spin proving highly effective. He took 3 important wickets for just 34 runs in 3 overs. Islamabad was all out for 107 runs in just 15.1 overs, handing Lahore a comprehensive 95-run victory.
Following the win, Lahore’s owner Samin Rana presented iPhones to the four best performers of the match, including Rishad. Praising him, the owner said, “You made us proud. Taking key wickets under pressure deserves this reward.”
While fellow Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan had a quiet game, Rishad’s performance shone brightly. Another Bangladeshi, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, is yet to get a chance to play.
