Popular Bangladeshi rock band Ashes is gearing up for six back-to-back concerts at the end of this month. The band’s drummer, Tawfiq Ahmed Bijoy, shared with Kalbela that their performance schedule has intensified both at home and abroad. “We are grateful to our fans whose love keeps us going. This month, we’ve already performed in several districts across the country. Now, we’re heading into six straight days of concerts. On May 31, we have a special surprise planned for our fans,” he said.
Ashes recently performed in Mirpur, Dhaka. Their next concert is scheduled for tomorrow (Monday), though the venue is yet to be confirmed. The lineup continues with shows on May 27 in Jashore, May 28 (venue unconfirmed), May 29 again in Jashore, May 30 (venue TBD), and the special surprise concert on May 31.
Formed in 2006, Ashes released their debut track “Hīn” in 2010, gaining popularity for their strong stage presence and relatable lyrics. Their first album Chharpoka was released in 2014, further cementing their place in the country’s rock music scene.
