Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has issued a bold message from prison, declaring that he has no intention or plan to compromise with the current government. He stated that he is willing to spend his entire life behind bars but will never bow down.
According to a report published by Arab News on Tuesday, May 27, Khan has sent an urgent message to all levels of leadership within his political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), urging them to prepare for a nationwide movement.
He also issued a stern warning to those within his party who are allegedly maintaining secret ties with the government. “Those trying to play on both sides of the wicket have no place in PTI,” Khan said, as relayed by his sister, Aleema Khan.
Aleema visited Imran Khan on Monday at Adiala Jail in Punjab province. Speaking to reporters outside the prison, she accused the Islamabad government of subjecting Khan to severe mistreatment. “He is not being given even the basic rights granted to an ordinary prisoner,” she said. She further revealed that in the past eight months, Imran was allowed to speak with his children only once, and that prison authorities have now barred even his sisters from meeting him.
Meanwhile, sources inside PTI indicate that while Khan calls for mass resistance from prison, the party’s high command is still exploring possibilities for dialogue with the government—primarily in hopes of securing his release.
Despite those efforts, Imran Khan remains unwavering in his stance: no compromise, no surrender—only struggle.
