Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has announced the timing for the main Eid-ul-Azha congregation in the capital. The main Eid prayer will be held at the National Eidgah on Saturday, June 7, at 7:30 AM.
The announcement was made on Thursday (June 5) during a press briefing on Eid prayers, cattle markets, and waste management, led by DSCC Administrator Shahjahan Mia.
He stated that the primary Eid congregation will take place at the National Eidgah premises near the High Court. However, if the weather is unfavorable, the main congregation will instead be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 8:00 AM.
The DSCC Administrator also informed that the National Eidgah can accommodate up to 35,000 worshippers. Additionally, he assured that sacrificial animal waste will be removed within 12 hours of Eid day.
DSCC Chief Executive Officer Dr. Md. Zillur Rahman and other department heads and officials were present at the briefing.
