Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, Advisor to the Ministries of Local Government, Youth & Sports, and Labor & Employment, has warned that genocidal elements are plotting to create nationwide chaos. He called on everyone to remain vigilant and alert.
In a Facebook post late on Saturday night (May 10), Asif Mahmud shared information that these genocidal forces are planning unrest across the country after being banned. He urged the public to stay cautious and aware.
He further stated that a final judicial ban on these elements would be the most effective and permanent solution. He also mentioned that amendments to the ICT Act had been made based on the demands of the student and public movements.
Background:
Following protests from students, political parties, and organizations, the interim government decided to ban all activities of the ruling Awami League, the oldest political party in Bangladesh. This decision was made during an emergency meeting of the advisory council, chaired by Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, held on Saturday (May 10) at 11 PM. After the meeting, Legal Advisor Asif Nazrul briefed the media on the decision.
