The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecasted that storms with rain or thunderstorms may affect three districts by Sunday (October 19) evening. Wind speeds could reach up to 60 kilometers per hour.
According to a special weather bulletin for river ports issued from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, strong winds from the south or southeast may sweep over Khulna, Barishal, and Patuakhali regions at speeds ranging from 45 to 60 km/h, accompanied by rain or thunderstorms.
During this time, river ports in these areas have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number 1.
Meanwhile, the latest 120-hour nationwide forecast mentions the possibility of scattered rain or thunderstorms in Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions today. Elsewhere in the country, the weather is expected to remain mostly dry with partly cloudy skies. Day and night temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged.
